Dullard Hutch Mansell (Bob Odenkirk) is abused by just about everyone – wife (Connie Nielsen), kids, employers (who are also his in-laws). Failing to deal with two house-breakers in front of his teenage son is the final straw for everyone – even Mansell.
A Phoenix rebirth of one of the most feared law agents in recent memory is the outcome as Hutch takes on crazed Russian mafia boss Aleksey Serebryakov. No nonsense, fast-paced, OTT fun as, calling in a few favours, Mansell simply gets on with the job he feels he needs to do. Hold on to your hats – this is vigilantes on the loose.
And it’s all based on an idea by Oldenkirk himself who trapped a pair of house-breakers in the basement of his own home. Lack of significant interest by the authorities led him to the fantasy of a nice-guy vigilante concept…
